THIS SEASONS OVERSEAS PLAYER
We've just agreed a contract with Cameron Rope, a 25year old New Zealander, who plays Premier Grade cricket in Auckland. He is a Top order Batsman who bowls Off Spin as well being able to bowl medium pace if required. We're very pleased about this, as by all accounts he is a quality player who loves to be involved in coaching and club life in general.

Ground preparation for the New Net Facility - Saturday 26th Jan from 11am
For those of you that haven't heard the progress, we have had good news the the Shropshire CB and ECB have told us we should get the money (£34k grant, Wem CC pay £8.5k) in time to have the nets ready for the new season.
This means we need to continue with clearing away the trees/stumps and undergrowth, to end up with a flat area. All help is welcome, after all we all want the new nets.
The Davies brother's and Sav have done a lot of it already, so it wont be too much effort if we have enough people.
Also, anybody with a chainsaw or access to one can they let me know. A couple more would come in handy. We'll be be hiring a digger for the tree stumps, but if any of you has one of those.
